Getting around

Belgrade in the spring – feel the unique Belgrade Zen!

No matter what, nature is unstoppable. She does not know about COVID-19, about emergencies, locks and everything we have survived in the previous year. It is the same with the seasons that change just as they have always done. Now it’s time for spring again, a magical season in which everything wakes up again and starts all over again. We are looking at a kind of restart in the spring, and that is exactly why this time of year should awaken optimism in us and some new strengths that will help us feel better and overcome all problems, which is extremely important especially now! Did we deserve to enjoy spring? YES!

The strange winter behind us that often kept us scared in the houses is finally behind us. It is time to continue living in a responsible way, take to the streets of this beautiful city and enjoy the first rays of the sun. In the end, we need these sun rays and they are very necessary because they give us the famous vitamin D, which is a very important ally in the fight against the corona virus.

In the first days of spring, restaurants work on a limited basis and most fellow citizens go to well-known places and enjoy nature and responsible outdoor socializing with their loved ones, family, partner, dog, or in the solo version.

One of the indispensable locations is certainly Ada Ciganlija, a favorite promenade of Belgraders, and this spring COVID is ready to welcome its guests. Cafes and restaurants are limited, but some of them have managed to offer their cafes and other products in a “takeaway” variant. In addition, all rental services, bicycles, rollerblades and other equipment are more than ready to satisfy their customers! As for the terrain, they work smoothly outdoors, while under the balloons the rules are a little different, but they can also be used in slightly changed circumstances.

Guests of Belgrade often go to Kalemegdan, an unavoidable place where every host in Belgrade will take you. The fortress, monuments, church, landscaped park, lookout, as well as the place where the two great rivers meet, have been attracting all visitors to Belgrade for centuries. Kalemegdan ae must see!
Admirers of religion will visit the Temple of Saint Sava, walk through Karadjordjev Park and Vracar. The promenade on Ušće, which leads you to Zemun and the Zemun quay, is a place of relaxation and meditation for many.

For those who prefer forest and altitude, there is of course Kosutnjak. Green, spacious, beautifully landscaped intended for athletes, walkers and everyone who loves nature, it especially gained popularity during the corona virus pandemic.

There are also new locations like the Sava Promenade which really offers rich content to enjoy despite the fact that very popular restaurants are currently closed. The content at this location will be especially enjoyed by the youngest citizens and guests, considering that along this promenade there are numerous modern, completely safe and extremely fun children’s playgrounds.

In any case, for those who live in this city, as well as for those who come to visit it, regardless of COVID-19, there is a lot of opportunity to enjoy it and spring is definitely the right time for that.
