From October 1, a tour of the Temple of Saint Sava is charged!
From October 1, 2022, an organized tour of the Temple of Saint Sava accompanied by a guide of the Temple of Saint Sava in Serbian, English and Russian will be charged. Entrance to the said Temple will not be charged, according to the Temple’s website.
As stated, the organized tour includes viewing parts of the Temple that are not normally accessible to all visitors – entering the pulpit area, the area in front of the iconostasis and taking photos in front of the altar itself, viewing the mosaics from close range, as well as parts of the Crypt that are normally closed.
The duration of the tour is from 30 to 45 minutes and includes a view of the Temple from the historical, artistic and theological side, they state on the website.
Groups that are exempt from payment are children, pupils, students from Serbia, Montenegro and the Republika Srpska, as well as all visits to state and church schools, universities and institutions, as well as visits by the disabled. The price of the ticket will be 300 dinars.
